To create a new account, visit vercel.com/signup.

When you sign up, you can choose the Hobby plan or the Pro plan. In order to collaborate with others on your projects, you'll need to choose the Pro plan.

You can choose to sign up with your email address or one of the Git providers:

If you choose to sign up with your email address, you will be asked to enter your email address. You will then be asked to verify your email address by selecting a link in an email Vercel sends you. Next, you will be asked to enter your phone number, and to verify once more with a code sent through SMS.

When signing up with your email, no Git provider will be connected by default. See Login methods and connections for information on how to connect a Git provider.

If no Git provider is connected, you will be asked to verify your account on every login attempt while logging in with your email.

If you choose to sign up with a Git provider, you will be asked to authorize Vercel to access your Git provider account. This connection will then become the default login connection on your account.

Regardless of your chosen method for signing up, you can manage your login connections through the Login Connections section found in your Vercel dashboard settings tab.

When you create an account on Vercel, you will be taken to the project creation page. Here, you can import your project's source code, or use a template to get started.

During this flow, the Git provider that you import your source code from will become the default login connection on your account. This means that you can login to Vercel with this Git provider, and use it to create new projects.

If you chose to begin with a template, you will be asked to select your preferred Git provider for the project. Here, you can select the Git account that you want to import the project into.

Your Hobby account on Vercel can only have a single login connection per third-party service. For example, you can only log into your Hobby account with a single GitHub account, not multiple GitHub accounts.

If you need to log in with multiple accounts from the same third-party service, we recommend creating a new Hobby account on Vercel.
