About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Sales Compensation Manager to join our Revenue Operations team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining variable compensation plans, ensuring accurate and timely commission payouts, and providing performance insights to drive sales team performance. You will report to Head of Revenue Operations, and this role is open for remote work, with a preference for Bay Area.

What You Will Do:

  • Partner with Sales, Legal, Finance & People teams to drive all aspects of sales compensation, including plan development, policies and procedures, and variable compensation strategy

  • Ensure timely and accurate commissions calculations and payouts, addressing all exceptions, questions and discrepancies effectively

  • Administer compensation plans and our commissions platform (Spiff)

  • Provide enablement, communications, and support to sales teams regarding their variable compensation plans and related commissions processes

  • Maintain monthly and quarterly commissions and performance summaries by team and individual, and own the source of truth for historical and active variable compensation plans and payouts

  • Create and manage various SPIF programs for GTM teams based on strategic goals and requirements from Sales leadership

About You:

  • Proven experience (6+ years) in sales compensation management, with a track record of designing and implementing successful sales compensation plans

  • Deep understanding of sales compensation strategies, metrics, and best practices, with experience in variable pay structures and sales performance management

  • Experience collaborating effectively with multiple GTM functions including Sales, Sales Development, Customer Success, Partnerships and SE

  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and SFDC, with experience administering sales compensation platforms (Spiff, CaptivateIQ, Xactly, QuotaPath etc.)

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales performance data and make data-driven decisions to improve compensation plans, and high attention to detail

Bonus If You:

  • Advanced administration experience in Spiff

  • Experience building sales compensation plans with usage-based revenue models

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $165,000 - $200,000.  This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be  adjusted based on employee location.  The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation.
