About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity to join Vercel’s Legal team as our first Contracts Program Manager.
In this role, which reports to the Director of Legal Ops, you’ll play a key part in contract negotiation and process optimization to accelerate deal closures for go-to-market and procurement.
You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to drive accuracy, efficiency and speed in contract execution.
What You Will Do:
Learn Vercel’s internal structures, product offerings, technology, security/data protection systems and policies to give you a foundation for providing support across Vercel’s lines of business
Enhance cross-functional collaboration to drive the negotiation of sales and procurement deals
Own and maintain Vercel’s agreement templates and playbooks
Help with standardisation of documentation and processes across multiple jurisdictions
Advise and assist internal customers by interpreting and explaining contract terms
Manage external contract negotiation resources and workflows
About You:
5+ years of experience working as a sourcing manager, contracts manager or a paralegal in a large law firm, or in-house.
Experience creating and managing legal playbooks and independently drafting, negotiating and executing commercial contracts such as Master Agreements, Amendments, Order Forms and Statements of Work.
Advanced understanding of commercial contract law, particularly with respect to SaaS agreements
Comfort and experience building technology solutions that help scale and automate contracting programs.
Ability to work independently and escalate appropriately
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to review and analyze complex information
Demonstrated customer service skills in a fast-paced, high-volume, dynamic and intellectually challenging work environment
Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment and the ability to conduct thorough negotiations in a timely manner
Bonus If You:
Have built and scaled a contracting program before
Have experience using procurement tools (Zip) and contract program automation tools (Ironclad)
Have worked in a startup/hypergrowth environment

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $120,000-$180,000. This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation.
