About the Role: 

We are expanding our IT team at our San Francisco headquarters and are looking for a capable IT professional to help us keep up with our company's growth. This role is primarily focused on managing the daily IT needs of our in-office staff, ensuring that everyone has the technical support they need to work effectively. You'll be the first point of contact for any IT-related issues in the office, from troubleshooting hardware and software problems to assisting with updating our network infrastructure.

In addition to handling help desk duties, you'll also have the chance to work on various IT projects that affect both our local and global teams. We're looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, is eager to tackle a wide range of IT tasks, and enjoys solving problems.

This is an in-person role based at our San Francisco headquarters.  The successful candidate will be expected to work onsite to effectively collaborate with our team and support our office's IT needs. 

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for in-office staff for all IT-related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operation of all systems.

  • Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of the office's IT infrastructure, including workstations, network devices, and software applications. 

  • Collaborate with the IT team on various projects, from upgrading system infrastructure to implementing new technology solutions. Contribute to planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to enhance our IT capabilities.

  • Utilize IT ticketing systems to manage help-desk requests and tickets as needed.  

  • Help with the creation, management, and support of user accounts and access controls. Ensure employees have the necessary resources and permissions to perform their jobs effectively.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems and procedures. 

  • Work closely with other departments to support their technical needs and ensure IT alignment with business goals. Participate in cross-functional projects to support company-wide initiatives.

About You: 

  • Growing IT Professional: You have at least 2-3 years of experience in IT support or a related field, with a solid foundation in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Experience in a startup or tech environment is a plus.

  • Tech-Savvy Problem Solver: You possess a deep understanding of IT systems, including macOS environments, networking, and security. You're known for your ability to diagnose and solve technical problems efficiently.

  • Effective Communicator: You have excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues in simple terms and collaborating effectively with team members across different departments.

  • Proactive and Adaptable: You thrive in fast-paced environments, showing initiative in tackling challenges and flexibility in handling multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.

  • Team Player with a Service-Oriented Attitude: You're approachable and helpful, always ready to assist others with their IT needs while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

  • Continuous Learner: You have a genuine interest in technology and a commitment to staying informed about the latest IT trends and best practices. You're motivated to grow your skills and take on new challenges.

  • Detail-Oriented Organizer: You excel at managing your tasks efficiently, paying close attention to details, and keeping track of all IT assets and documentation.

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $104k-$156k. This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation.
