As a Sr Onboarding Program Manager at Vercel, you are responsible for the entire company onboarding experience (before and after hiring new employees) for all new hires across the globe.
You will deliver a world-class Onboarding Program with best in class service using cutting-edge learning tools and solutions in partnership with other members of the L&D function, as well as our functional enablement teams. You will partner with senior People leaders, our executive team, HR Business partners, enablement teams and influence leaders to optimize our resources and integrate our company-wide onboarding with departmental practices to set new hires up for success in their first 90 days. Measuring the effectiveness of your program plays an integral part of it.
You will serve as the "New Hire's Host" for all Vercelians. You will ensure new hires get a warm welcome while also experiencing a smooth transition through the entire onboarding process as they move into their roles.
We are looking for an energetic, detailed-oriented, people-centric, collaborative, self-starting, growth-minded, entrepreneurial-minded, humble person who can conceptualize when needed, but also find it meaningful to connect with new hires regularly and build community within Vercel.

Take full ownership of building and driving the employee onboarding program (and process) from offer signed through hand-off to their departments and measure its effectiveness.
Coordinate and communicate with recruiters, hiring managers, and trainers to ensure all parties are on the same page leading up to the new employee's first day.
Liaise with the executive team, senior HR leaders and cross functional enablement team leaders to ensure the overall onboarding approach is in line with the broader business strategy.
Develop the people manager new hire population with the skills and attributes to lead the business the Vercel way.
Act as a consultant to new employees.
Maintain and iterate on these onboarding programs as we scale and grow as a company.
Help us establish and enforce how employees should show up as new employees of Vercel by breaking down our norms, values, and more.
Identify and drive synergies across business functions.

Master's or Bachelor Degree in one or more of the following: Education/Professional Education and Training; HR/Human Resource Development; Organizational Development
5-8 years of professional expertise backed by substantial experience in L&D and Onboarding (Training & Development), ideally in a global role and within the tech industry.
Deep understanding of building better-practices and navigating trends around onboarding and learning initiatives.
Strong facilitation and training skills with evidence of effective application across global contexts and culture.
Expertise in building onboarding programs, in particular utilizing a competency based approach to staff skill building. (e.g. must demonstrate personal expertise in several of the following: learning strategy, needs analysis, program design, curriculum design, instructional design, learning evaluation, e-learning, facilitation, competency design, competency assessment).
Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
Take pride in connecting with new hires and helping them get established in a company.

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $138,000.00 - $193,000.00. This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your location during the hiring process.
