The Vercel Sales Engineering Team enables the power of our advanced platform to be realized by frontend teams working on cutting edge digital projects around the globe. We leverage our deep experiences in web development and Internet infrastructure to provide pre-sales guidance for enterprises who are moving to the most developer-friendly platform in the world. Sales Engineers play a key role in our Sales process by partnering with Account Executives to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles, with a focus on value-based selling. The Director, Sales Engineering East will be responsible for managing all facets of the assigned Sales Engineering teams in US East. The primary role of Sales Engineers is to assist our sales organizations achieve their quarterly and annual sales targets, while servicing our clients and new prospects. As part of the Vercel’s Sales team, you will provide leadership for development and training of Sales Engineering personnel, career planning, and compensation; and ensuring the execution of technical and professional excellence, in the technical aspect of the sales cycle.
Establish and collaborate on goals, operational objectives and work plans for the SE team members in US East
Review objectives to determine success of Sales Engineering function and communicates to Sales and SE management team quarterly
Provide and maintain technical sales support (e.g., product presentations, architecture reviews, application discussions, prototype development) for key accounts when needed or requested by SE managers
Actively coach technical sales strategy for key deals
Oversee the Sales Engineering activities for the largest, most significant accounts in the regions
Maintain overall planning for staffing, budgeting and changes within SE function
Direct planning for recruiting efforts within the region as required

The estimated annual cash salary for this role is $240,000.00- $310,000. This salary range is an estimate, and actual salary may vary based on the company's compensation practices, location, and candidate experience. The total compensation package may also include benefits and equity-based compensation.
