About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Global Tax Manager to join our dynamic tax team. This role is crucial for managing our global tax strategy, compliance, and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with extensive experience in a US multinational corporate environment, navigating the complexities of both direct and indirect taxation across various jurisdictions. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by managing complex tax issues, optimizing processes, and partnering with business leaders to support our company's continued growth.
What You Will Do:
Manage and review the quarterly and annual global income tax provision process under ASC 740, including the calculation of the effective tax rate, deferred taxes, and uncertain tax positions (FIN 48).
Manage and review tax-related disclosures for SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q).
Oversee US federal, state, and local income tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
Manage the preparation and review of US international tax compliance forms, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, and 1118.
Ensure compliance with foreign statutory filings and reporting obligations for our international subsidiaries.
Lead the company’s global indirect tax function, including US sales and use tax, Canadian GST/HST, and international Value Added Tax (VAT).
Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance across all jurisdictions, manage registrations, and oversee the timely remittance of taxes.
Monitor changes in indirect tax legislation to mitigate risks and identify opportunities.
Utilize data analytics tools and advanced Excel skills to manage and analyze large datasets from various financial systems to support tax calculations and planning.
Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement within the tax function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Manage and respond to inquiries and audits from various tax authorities (IRS, state, foreign).
Partner with the Head of Tax on strategic tax planning initiatives, M&A due diligence, and transfer pricing matters.
Serve as a key tax advisor to the business, providing guidance on the tax implications of new initiatives and transactions.
About You:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is strongly preferred.
A minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience with a combination of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and industry experience in the tax department of a US-based multinational corporation.
Demonstrated experience managing tax functions for a company with multiple foreign subsidiaries.
Knowledge of US corporate income tax and ASC 740.
Understanding of US international tax concepts (Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, FTCs).
Proven experience managing global indirect taxes, specifically US sales & use tax and international VAT/GST.
Strong proficiency in working with large, complex datasets. Experience with data analytics software (e.g., Snowflake) and advanced Excel skills is a significant plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
A proactive and detail-oriented work ethic with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

If you’re based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $180,000 - $220,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location, and the total package includes benefits and equity-based compensation.
