About the role:

We are looking for an Ecosystem Manager to join our Strategy & Insights team. You will lead numerous efforts to cultivate communities that are critical to Vercel’s growth.

The initial focus for this role will be scaling our existing efforts to partner with top startups, incubators, accelerators, and venture capital firms. Over time, we anticipate this role may also lead efforts to cultivate other communities, for example, open-source relationships, AI partners, etc.

You will report to our Business Strategy & Insights Lead and will be located remote (US) or hybrid, in our NYC or SF offices.

What you will do:

  • Manage and develop a set of partner-level relationships with top venture capital funds, startup accelerator programs, and other external partners in the startup ecosystem.

  • Communicate with venture-backed startups on behalf of Vercel and manage the pipeline of applications to the Startup Accelerator program from our partners. Provide technical and product guidance to startups in 1:1 engagements, in partnership with internal teams.

  • Develop strategies to drive adoption of Vercel’s products among thousands of startups and ensure companies have the resources they need to build quickly and effectively using Vercel.

  • Analyze key metrics for the startup partner program and create reports and provide insights to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities for 1:many engagements and events for founders, and execute in collaboration with accelerators, VC firms, and internal teams.

  • Contribute to the development of programs and strategic initiatives focused on startup customers, in partnership with sales & customer success engineering, marketing, communications, business operations, finance, product management, and engineering.

About you:

  • 3+ years experience managing high-value external relationships (e.g., customers, partners, investors, Board of Directors) and working directly with founders and C-level executives.

  • Experience leading high-visibility customer engagements (e.g., conferences, 1:many events, product launches, etc.)

  • Ability to build and maintain credibility with a technical end-user in Engineering, Product, and Design functions, by showcasing Product and Industry knowledge and expertise, particularly knowledge of modern frontend technologies (eg. React, Next, Vite, Astro, Remix, etc.)

  • Passion for the startup ecosystem and supporting the growth of fast-growing companies.

  • Curiosity and interest in Infrastructure, DevOps, and Front-end engineering.

  • Effective communicator and collaborator with strong interpersonal skills.

Bonus if you:

  • Have experience as a founder of a venture-backed startup (preferably a technical founder), a venture capital investor, or early employee at a fast-growing startup.

  • Contribute to open-source projects related to modern frontend technologies (eg. React, Next, Vite, Astro, Remix, etc.)

  • Have built applications at scale with modern frontend technologies.

Benefits:

  • Great compensation package and stock options.

  • Inclusive Healthcare Package.

  • Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.

  • Flexible Time Off - Flexible vacation policy with a recommended 4-weeks per year, and paid holidays.
