We’re hiring an experienced Technical Content Engineer with a strong technical writing background to join our Technical Content team.

This role is ideal for engineers or former engineers with a knack for translating complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging content tailored for both our enterprise prospects, existing enterprise customers, and developer audiences. You’ll join a team of tech enthusiasts and storytellers. As a part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in creating high-quality content that resonates with a technical engineering audience—from Engineer to CTO.

You will work with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, DevOps, and product managers, and leadership to ensure that our public messaging of our products, services, and frameworks are of the highest quality and value.

What you will do:

  • Develop, write, and edit compelling technical content, focusing on Vercel’s features and frameworks

  • Act as customer zero, ensuring our content meets the reader’s needs and enhances their understanding our products and position in the industry

  • Keep up-to-date with our products, industry trends, and the needs of our users to ensure the creation of relevant and effective content

  • Review and refine content and code examples for clarity and accuracy

  • Manage your projects in coordination with the Marketing team, adhering to deadlines and contributing to our content strategy

  • Embrace new products and processes, sharing knowledge, and driving content quality and innovation

  • Report to our Director of Content

About you:

  • You bring at least five years of experience as a Technical Writer, Developer Experience/Advocate Engineer, or related role, with a proven track record of creating impactful content

  • You have web development experience

  • You know frontend tools such as TypeScript, Next.js, and Vercel

  • You excel in communication and collaboration, thriving in a team environment and contributing to a positive workplace

  • You quickly adapt to new domains, learning and articulating complex concepts into clear, comprehensive content

  • You prefer working in a fast-pace, agile environment with a “get it done” mentality

  • You have outstanding project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • You focus on putting the reader first, ensuring content is accessible and engaging

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $130,000.00 - $169,000.00. This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your location during the hiring process.
