We are updating the Terms of Service for Hobby and Pro customers, effective October 19, 2026. The updates clarify some existing Vercel practices, expand terms on topics such as managed accounts and credits, and reflect applicable legal requirements, including certain cancellation and service-change rights for eligible consumers in the UK and EU.

A new section sets out how credits work: plan-included credits expire at the end of the subscription term and purchased credits expire one year after purchase unless stated otherwise. Credits can only be used to pay Vercel fees, have no cash value, and are nontransferable. Credits are generally nonrefundable, but unused purchased credits are refunded if Vercel terminates your account without cause.
The Terms also clarify that credit purchases are billed in advance, subscriptions auto-renew unless you turn off renewal, and third-party pass-through rates may change when provider rates change.

The updated Terms clarify what Managed Team users may see and when owners may manage Projects created within the Managed Team. If migration to a Managed Account is required, Vercel will notify you and give you a reasonable period to move your content to another email address.

You can turn off auto-renewal and cancel or downgrade through account settings or Support. Cancellation or downgrade generally takes effect at the start of the next renewal period. The Terms also explain statutory withdrawal and refund rights for eligible consumers.

Eligible consumers in the UK and EU may cancel the affected subscription free of charge if a change has more than a minor negative impact on their access to or use of the Services. They have 30 days from notice or the change, whichever is later, and may receive a prorated refund of prepaid amounts for the remaining period.

The service-specific provisions have been moved to a dedicated Service Terms page. The Terms also clarify sanctions-related obligations, including that use of the Services must not be in connection with or for the benefit of a sanctioned person.
