KidSuper is a Brooklyn-based cult streetwear label and hybrid art brand with strong ties to the music, sports, and tech communities. From collaborating with the likes of Puma and Nike to co-designing Louis Vuitton's 2023 menswear collection, founder Colm Dillane and CTO Adham Foda are known worldwide for their boundary-pushing approach to fashion.

The brand went viral in 2011 after Mac Miller wore their apparel on the cover of iTunes, and the duo knew they’d eventually require a tech solution that could keep up with their creativity. They needed to branch out from their Shopify-managed storefront and go headless, allowing them to bring their vision to life.

Idea to execution in seconds

After experimenting with other frameworks like Ember and Create React App, Foda concluded that Next.js would give him the most flexibility to build sites and apps that properly reflect the creativity of the KidSuper brand. “It’s really cool knowing we have the same website, build, and production-ready code as Puma and Dior,” says Foda.

Next.js has made it easier for us to scale and build on the Web with fewer people–there's only one of us, and we’re putting our sites in front of some of the world’s largest brands. With Vercel, Colm can focus on the next cool thing, because he knows the site won’t be a blocker.

When pitching brands like Netflix, Puma, and Modelo, Vercel’s zero-configuration deployments enable the KidSuper team to spin up interactive sites faster than they could a simple PDF, setting them apart from their competition.

Limitless creativity

With Next.js, there are no limits on what the creative duo can create. Foda would code up his ideas, then deploy instantly and send a Preview Deployment: “I can just say, ‘give me a few minutes, I'll send you a link.’ It’s that simple. With other solutions you've lost three hours configuring to maybe get a stable staging environment setup,” Foda says—no delays, just seamless collaboration to deliver groundbreaking ideas instantly.

People ask, how are you doing this? Do you have a whole agency behind you? How did you build an entire website in a day? It kind of feels like superpowers…you're in there just whipping things up.
