About the Role:
Vercel is looking for a strategic Director of Growth Marketing who will own our end-to-end customer acquisition strategy as well as the execution across digital channels to acquire new customers and to directly impact the trajectory of our growth business. You'll lead a team of digital and growth marketers that focus on both self-serve and Enterprise segments with ample budget required.
In this role, you'll lead our website optimization roadmap, paid digital strategy and SEO in partnership with our Product Director (Site), Growth Engineers, and Demand Gen. The ideal candidate blends meaningful experience in performance marketing, with a deep understanding of the many ways Freemium and product-led growth strategies can help drive demand creation and enhancements to the entire customer journey.
What You Will Do:
Build a customer acquisition engine. Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for organic and paid customer acquisition channels, working cross-functionally with Product, Design, Demand Gen and Analytics.
Lead a high-performing team. Lead a team of channel and strategic specialists to drive revenue growth and cultivating a test-and-optimize mindset and culture of continuous improvement.
Define targets. Set quarterly and annual acquisition goals and budgets for the organization, ensuring YoY growth. Manage and report on progress to the leadership on an ongoing basis
Capture & convert web demand. Constantly evaluate our website and develop a robust experimentation roadmap to increase the conversions of customers via our website. By developing benchmark metrics, you will help us determine what great looks like and develop a plan to help us get there faster.
Spearhead paid digital channels. Develop the paid media program strategy; you own our paid ads channels, budget and agency relationships.
Own SEO. Manage the SEO user experience across all parts of the customer journey, while creating strategic SEO planning documents, reports, project plans, website analyses, and recommendations for our website and internal stakeholders.
Test, optimize, repeat. Lead strategic testing into existing channels and scale entirely new channels that generate user sign-ups. You'll run our experiment pipeline and A/B tests that not only get results but help us learn more about what does and doesn’t work in reaching specific demographics.
