Vercel is looking for a Community Manager who will span Customer Success and Developer Relations, to engage in our Discord, GitHub Discussions, Twitter and beyond. You are a developer who represents Vercel within the web development ecosystem, to ensure that all of our communities are properly moderated and answered. You will set boundaries around what Vercel provides support for and facilitate conversation to build Discussions into a place where Vercel users can reliably find answers to common questions. Ultimately, you will help shape the direction and growth of our communities.
Represent Vercel across our key communities.
Enable customers to grow their ideas and use the Vercel platform.
Work with the community and other members of the team to provide advice and assistance, both internally and externally.
Identify top Vercel community members for collaboration and outreach.
Escalate issues internally to improve Vercel’s product.
Strategize and lead community growth projects.
Improving existing, and identifying new, internal documentation, processes, and policies.
You have a proven track record of nurturing and growing tech communities.
You are an experienced technical writer, comfortable learning new concepts and distilling them simply to users.
You possess exceptional public-facing communication skills.
You have a keen eye for detail.
You are curious and enjoy navigating ambiguity through research and collaboration.
You enjoy working with a fully remote, globally distributed team.
You have a passion to deliver a customer experience second to none.
2+ years experience in a highly technical customer-facing or technical documentation role.
Experienced with Next.js
Have had solid exposure to an assortment of site generation tools and platforms.
Have experience supporting backend runtime environments, especially Node.js.
Have experience with CDNs and a good understanding of caching techniques.
Work with monorepos and/or custom, complex CI/CD pipelines.
Thoroughly understand DNS and can explain this clearly to others.
Are fluent in another language.
