What You Will Do:

We are looking for a partner to our Finance, Sales, Operations and Product teams to maintain and process accurate billing transactions for Vercel’s fast-growing customer base.

As a Billing Analyst, you will support the Accounting team by assisting billing processes, in addition to the month-end close reporting process. Vercel has a high volume of billing transactions, systematic problem-solving capability and practical knowledge of billing systems, ERP, payment processors, and our product is essential to this role. Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to following:

  • Identifies process gaps and seek for system/process automation and optimization solution

  • Assist data analysis to identify, quantify, monitor and reduce billing discrepancies

  • Ensure invoices are created and sent to customers timely and accurately consistent with contractual terms

  • Perform billing reconciliations to support month end reporting and ad hoc reportings

  • Investigate and address billing inquiries for customers

  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Sales and Accounting teams to improve communication and promote efficiency

About You:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Equivalent

  • 2+ years related experience in revenue operations or order management, preferably experience at a SaaS company

  • Strong understanding of order-to-cash cycle and business processes

  • Experience with SuiteBilling, Stripe and Salesforce

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and various deadlines

  • Basic knowledge of ASC 606 revenue standards is a plus

  • Strong Excel skills (Formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP etc)

  • Strong analytical skills and data presentation skills

  • Ability and desire to learn new skills with an enthusiasm for acquiring systems knowledge

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Thrive in a self-starter and team environment

  • Have practical knowledge of billing systems implementations and configurations (i.e. SuiteBilling, Zuora and Stripe)
