What this means

The availability of a new Edge region means that we can cache your content and make it available across our network even faster, and deliver a speedier cloud experience globally.
Combined with SFO1 (San Francisco), IAD1 (Washington DC), CLE1 (Cleveland), PDX1 (Portland), OMA1 (Omaha) and CHS1 (Charleston), LAX1 (Los Angeles) will allow your customers in the United States to benefit from significant performance improvements.
Specifically, if they access from within or near Los Angeles, your customers will enjoy improved latency of over 2x over our previous options.

LAX1 is Automatically Enabled

Following this announcement, LAX1 will be made available to all deployments automatically. All your customers in or near Los Angeles (such as those in San Diego or Las Vegas) are already enjoying faster speeds. You need not do anything to take advantage of our Edge region in Los Angeles.
Please note that regardless of your chosen deployment region, your static assets and dynamic responses will always automatically be cached globally across all Edge regions in our network, ensuring the quickest response time for all of your users.
